Dedicated in the memory of two ever great Royal Bengal NRB Honourable Rahman, (Sir) Ahmad Fazlur (1889-1945)Educationist Fazlur Rahman started his career as a Lecturer in History in the Aligarh University in 1914, continued to serve there till 1921. Fazlur Rahman was the Provost of Salimullah Muslim Hall of D.U. from 1921 to 1927. He was elected a member of the Bengal Legislative Council in 1923 from the Dhaka University constituency. He was nominated as a member of the Legislative Council in 1927. F. R. was the chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in 1934. Sir A. R.Rahman was the Vice-Chancellor of the Dhaka University from '34 -'36. The Dhaka University conferred upon him the honorary Doctor of Law degree in '37. The same year he was appointed a member of the Federal Public Service Commission of India. Fazlur Rahman was knighted by the Government of India in 1942. He died in 1945 AD.
